The photos here were all taken in Vermont and New England. Jane grew up in Massachusetts, moving to a twenty acre farm in Vermont in 1994. She fell in love with the scenery here. At eighteen she apprenticed as a picture framer. This went hand-in hand with her hobby and soon she was buying up picture frames at auctions and flea markets. Today she uses many recycled antique frames in her work. Jane believes in the “purity of the lens” and prints only what the camera sees, without any touch up. Living in Vermont, at the base of Mt. Ascutney affords her the opportunity to capture the beauty she sees all around her on a daily basis. “Every night in the summer I try to catch the sun as it sets behind our barn. A short walk into the field reveals the setting sun. It is a gift we receive every day!” As a mother of three grown children, she now has the time to devote to her hobby, and is slowly developing it into a business. Jane lives in Windsor with her husband, son and two Labs.
